The World's Newest Nation

DKTD has recently completed working with the Ministry of Education in Timor Leste. The project is funded by the World bank. DKTD is providing technical assistance to develop a National Qualifications Framework (NQF).

Timor Leste is the world’s newest nation, having gained independence from Indonesia in a 1999 referendum.

An NQF will assist in improving the quality of education and training and in gaining international recognition for Timor Leste qualifications.
The project will involve strengthening quality assurance mechanisms, identifying qualifications levels and helping to unify the education and training system.

We are now working with the Minsitry responsible for vocational training on a project funded by the  International Labour Organisation. This project will develop registration and accreditation quality asssurance for the vocational training sector.
